Canyons Village Update

Vail Resorts Announces $29/Day Parking at Canyons Village for the 2026/27 Ski Season

The Canyons Village Parking Structure is being completed this fall — and with it comes a brand-new parking plan designed to make your arrival smoother, your mornings less stressful, and your first run earlier. Here’s everything you need to know about parking at Canyons Village next winter, including rates, free options, and how to skip the car entirely.

🅿️ 2026/27 Canyons Village Parking Structure: Rates at a Glance

Vail Resorts and Park City Mountain have released the parking plan for the completed Canyons Village Parking Structure. The new plan balances paid structured parking with several free options — including afternoon and carpool parking — to accommodate a wide range of guests.

💵 $29 Daily Rate

The standard daily rate for the Canyons Village Parking Structure is $29 per day — a flat rate for structured, covered parking steps from the new Canyons Village Skyway gondola.

🕛 Free Parking After 12 p.m.

Arriving in the afternoon? Parking in the structure is free after 12 p.m. — a great option if you’re planning a few afternoon runs, catching the Spring Concert Series, or meeting friends for an après session at the village.

🚗 Free Carpool Spaces (4+ Occupants)

Road tripping with a full car? Vehicles with four or more occupants can park free in designated carpool areas, subject to available space. Pack in your crew and save.

🎿 Winter Season Parking Pass

Frequent visitors and locals can purchase a Winter Season Parking Pass for unlimited garage access throughout the ski season. Pricing and purchase details will be released in late summer 2026.

👷 Free Employee Parking

Canyons Village employees will have access to free parking in designated spaces within the structure — keeping the resort staffed and ready for guests.

🌿 Free Surface Lot Parking (First-Come, First-Served)

Just like previous seasons, limited free surface lot parking adjacent to the parking structure will remain available on a first-come, first-served basis for day skiers. No guarantee, but worth the early alarm.

🏗️ What the Completed Parking Structure Changes

The Canyons Village Parking Structure has been years in the making, and the completed facility marks a real turning point for how guests arrive at the mountain. Built in phases — with the first two levels open this past winter — the full structure replaces the patchwork of scattered surface lots that have long defined the Canyons Village arrival experience.

🚌 Direct Connection to the Transit Hub

The parking structure feeds directly into the Canyons Village Transit Hub — the same hub served by free Park City and Summit County bus routes. Whether you’re parking or busing in, the path to the mountain is the same seamless corridor.

🚡 Steps from the New Canyons Village Skyway

The Skyway’s base station sits right next to the Transit Hub and parking structure. Park, walk in, hop on the gondola, and you’re gliding toward the mountain in minutes — no shuttle, no lot-to-lot hike in ski boots.

🏔️ Less Congestion, Better Flow

Centralizing parking into a single structure is designed to reduce the traffic congestion that’s historically defined busy powder mornings at Canyons. Better arrival flow means less time in traffic and more time on snow.

🚌 Skip the Parking Fees — Take the Bus for Free

If you’d rather skip parking altogether, Park City’s public transit system makes it easy — and it’s completely free. Two transit providers serve Canyons Village from multiple points across the region:

🚏 Ecker Hill Park-and-Ride

Available seven days a week, Ecker Hill is served by High Valley Transit. Coming from the Salt Lake City area? Take the Jeremy Ranch exit. From there, the White Express gives you direct access to Canyons Village, and the Spiro Local connects to both Canyons Village and Mountain Village.

🚏 Richardson Flat Park-and-Ride

Served by Park City Transit seven days a week, Richardson Flat is a great option for carpoolers and guests coming from the Park City side. Directions are available on the Park City Mountain website.

🚏 Park City High School (Winter Only)

A seasonal park-and-ride available during the winter months. Check Park City Transit for current schedules and routes connecting to Canyons Village.

Park City Transit and High Valley Transit (HVT) — Summit County’s fare-free regional service — both offer convenient routes throughout the Wasatch Back. Full schedules and route maps are available at allseasonsresortlodging.com.

🏠 Staying at Canyon Haus? You’re Already Ahead.

If you’re a Canyon Haus guest, you likely won’t need the village garage at all.

Free underground parking is included with every Canyon Haus stay. Your car stays in our garage, and from there you can walk to Canyons Village, access the Canyons Village Skyway gondola mid-station right outside our door, or catch the Route 105 shuttle to the Transit Hub and village center — all without moving your car or paying a daily rate.

For guests who are driving in for the day or coordinating with friends arriving separately, the $29 structure rate and the free afternoon/carpool options give you plenty of flexibility.

Canyons Village Update

The Cabriolet Is Being Replaced — Here’s What’s Coming

Big things are happening at Canyons Village, and we want to make sure you’re in the loop before your next trip. The iconic open-air Cabriolet lift that runs right past Canyon Haus is being replaced with a brand-new, fully enclosed gondola — and the upgrade is significant. Here’s everything you need to know about the Canyons Village Skyway, what’s changing, and how it affects your stay.

🚡 Meet the Canyons Village Skyway

Park City Mountain has announced the Canyons Village Skyway — a brand-new 10-person enclosed gondola that will replace the Cabriolet lift. This isn’t just a cosmetic upgrade. The Skyway is a full reimagining of how guests move through the village, and for anyone staying at Canyon Haus, this is a significant quality-of-life improvement right outside our door.

🪟 Enclosed 10-Person Cabins with Floor-to-Ceiling Windows

No more riding open-air in January wind chills. The Skyway’s fully enclosed cabins fit up to 10 people and are designed with panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows — so you still get the views, just without the cold blast.

🏔️ A Mid-Station for Mid-Village Access

One of the most practical improvements: a new mid-station designed to give homeowners, lodging guests, and visitors better access to the middle of the village. As an insider tip — Canyon Haus sits right between the Skyway’s mid-station and its upper terminal. That means you can walk down to the mid-station to drop into the village, or walk up a short distance to reach the heart of Canyons Village. Two directions, your call.

🔗 A More Reliable Base-to-Village Connection

The Skyway is engineered to provide a seamless, dependable link between Lower Village and the mountain base area — connecting the new Canyons Village Parking Structure directly to the Forum and surrounding base area.

🏗️ The Parking Structure Gets Its Final Phase Too

Alongside the Skyway, construction resumes this spring on the final three levels of the Canyons Village Parking Structure, developed by TCFC (the Canyons Village master developer). The first two levels opened successfully this past winter, and once the full structure is complete, it will meaningfully change how guests arrive at the village:

🚗 Consolidated, Covered Parking

The full structure will replace scattered surface lots across the village with a centralized, covered option — no more hunting for spots or trekking across open parking fields in ski boots.

🚌 Direct Access to Transit and the Skyway

The Skyway’s base station sits right next to the Canyons Village Transit Hub — your gateway to free public transportation connecting all points across Park City. The new parking structure also feeds directly into this same hub, so whether you’re arriving by car or bus, the path to the mountain is the same.

🛬 A Better Guest Arrival Experience

Better traffic flow, improved accessibility, and a more welcoming arrival sequence from the moment you pull in — the full structure is designed around making that first impression count.

📅 What to Expect During Construction (Spring & Summer 2026)

Construction on both the Skyway and the final parking structure levels begins March 30, 2026. Here’s what that means practically if you’re visiting Canyon Haus during the construction window:

🚧 Parking Garage Temporarily Closed to the Public

The entire Canyons Village Parking Structure will be closed to public parking during the final construction phase. Plan accordingly if you’re driving in.

⛷️ Lower-to-Upper Village Lift Access Paused

Until the new Skyway opens, there won’t be lift access between Lower and Upper village. The Cabriolet’s days are numbered — and the Skyway is being built in its place.

✅ Surface Lots 2–4 Remain Open (Free)

Free surface parking in Lots 2–4 will continue to be available throughout construction, with shuttle and walking access to the village provided.

🚌 Park City & Summit County Transit Fully Operational

Public transit isn’t going anywhere. Park City and Summit County bus routes remain fully available — a great option if you’re staying nearby or want to skip the parking situation entirely.

🏠 What This Means for Canyon Haus Guests

Canyon Haus sits right along the Cabriolet corridor — it’s literally one of the first things you see when you arrive. The Skyway will run in the same footprint, which means once it opens, the view from our building and the Cabriolet’s signature visibility are being upgraded, not eliminated.

Here’s the most important thing to know: construction doesn’t affect anything at Canyon Haus. You can still walk to Canyons Village center just like always, or hop the Route 105 shuttle to the Canyons Village Transit Hub or village center — free, easy, no car required. Ski valet, underground parking for Canyon Haus guests, and all on-site amenities remain fully operational throughout.

If you have questions about your specific travel dates or want to know the fastest route to the snow, stop by the front desk or give us a call — we’re on-site 24/7 and always have the latest on what’s happening across the village.
