Picture the last light dropping behind the Wasatch peaks. Hundreds of drones rising in formation above the ridgeline. A few thousand people on blankets and low-back chairs, cold drinks in hand, headliner about to take the stage. No ticket. No shuttle line. Just walk out the door.

That’s what Forum Fest looks like from Canyon Haus. Now in its fifth year, the event has become Park City’s signature 4th of July tradition — a free, three-day outdoor music festival hosted at the Forum at Canyons Village. We’re right there. And the 2026 lineup is the strongest it’s been yet.

🎪 What Is Forum Fest?

Forum Fest is a free outdoor celebration held every 4th of July weekend by the Canyons Village Management Association (CVMA). Three nights of national headliners, a nightly drone show, family activities, food and drinks — all of it free to attend. Here’s what fills the weekend:

🎸
Nightly Headliners
Three national acts across three nights — each one a completely different musical world.
🪟
Drone Show
Hundreds of synchronized drones choreographed to music above the peaks. Confirmed nightly for 2026.
🎆
Fireworks
Subject to Utah fire conditions — though the drone show alone is worth the trip either way.
🚡
Free Gondola Rides
The Frostwood Gondola runs complimentary during event hours with elevated mountain views.
🏃
Kids Zone + Puppy Pit
Dedicated family activity area and the Nuzzles & Co Puppy Pit from 4–8 PM each day.
🥖
Food, Drinks & Cornhole
On-site food and bar throughout the event. Cornhole tournament sign-ups at 1 PM and 4 PM on July 3 and 4.

📅 2026 Schedule at a Glance

Forum Fest runs Thursday through Saturday, July 2–4. The venue opens at 4 PM each evening. The Frostwood Gondola opens earlier on July 3 and 4 — worth noting if you want to ride up before the evening rush.

🎤 The 2026 Headliners

Three nights, three completely different vibes. Here’s who’s taking the stage.

Live music at Canyons Village

🎸 Night 1 · Thursday, July 2

Allen Stone

Grammy-nominated soul and R&B artist with deep roots in gospel, folk-rock, and classic funk. Allen Stone built his name touring 200 nights a year and has since shared stages with Stevie Wonder, Erykah Badu, and Dave Matthews Band. His live performances hit differently under an open mountain sky — the kind of set that makes opening night feel like the main event.

🎸 Night 2 · Friday, July 3

Rick Springfield

Five decades. A multi-Platinum catalog. One of rock’s most iconic #1 hits in “Jessie’s Girl.” Rick Springfield plays the night before the 4th — and his 2026 tour delivers full-band energy with fan favorites and deep cuts that keep the crowd locked in from first song to last. The night before Independence Day, in this setting, with this crowd. It’s going to be loud.

🎸 Night 3 · Saturday, July 4

Dylan Scott

Country music under a mountain sky on the 4th of July. Six No. 1 singles into a career built on authentic storytelling, Dylan Scott closes out Forum Fest 2026. His recent back-to-back chart-toppers and current single “What He’ll Never Have” make for a setlist that earns every bit of applause. There’s no better way to end a 4th of July weekend.

Park City Bike Share electric bikes

🚌 Getting There in 2026 — Read This First

A heads-up before you plan: the Cabriolet lift and its parking structure are both closed this summer during construction. Canyons Village surface lots are restricted to vehicles with 3 or more occupants. If you’re driving as a couple or solo, the lot will turn you away. Here are your real options:

🚌 Free Shuttle (Recommended)

Shuttles run 3:00–11:30 PM from Ecker Hill Park & Ride, PEAK Center, Park City Community Church, Winter Sports School, and Mountain Village. No parking, no stress.

🚗 Driving

Surface lots require 3+ occupants. If you can carpool with another couple or family, you’re in. Otherwise, plan on the shuttle or transit.

🚲 Bike & Transit

Park City Transit and High Valley Transit both serve Canyons Village. Summit Bike Share works well from most neighborhoods — complimentary bike parking on High Mountain Road.

Canyon Haus guests don’t have to think about any of this. Walk out the front door and you’re at the venue.

Park City 4th of July Parade on Main Street

🗺️ Can You Do Both? Main Street + Forum Fest

Yes — and it’s easier than you’d think. The two celebrations happen at completely different times of day. Main Street runs its parade and festivities through the morning and early afternoon. Forum Fest opens at 4 PM. No overlap.

A solid July 4th from Canyon Haus: catch the Main Street parade in the morning via the free Park City Transit, come back for lunch and a rest, then walk over to the Forum stage in the afternoon for the opening acts and activities before the headliner. You get both. No car required.

🎒 What to Bring — and What to Leave Home

✅ Bring These

  • Low-back chair or blanket (max 12″ seat height, 31.5″ total back height)
  • Layers — mountain evenings cool off fast after sunset
  • Reusable water bottle (free water stations inside)
  • Cash or card for on-site food vendors
  • Sunscreen — afternoon sun at elevation is no joke
  • Red, white & blue — it’s the 4th, lean into it

🚫 Leave These Home

  • Outside alcohol, coolers, or ice chests
  • Outside food or drinks (water stations are provided)
  • Bikes, skateboards, one-wheels, or rollerblades
  • Dogs (not permitted inside the venue)
  • Fireworks, sparklers, personal drones, or lasers
  • Oversized chairs above the specified dimensions

Chairs or blankets left unattended for more than 10 minutes will be moved to Lost & Found. Event policies subject to change.

Canyon Haus fire pits and outdoor lounge in winter

🔥 After the Music: Your Basecamp Is Right There

When the drone show fades and the crowd starts moving, Canyon Haus guests have exactly zero logistics to deal with. Walk back, drop your layers, and make the call: one more round at the fire pits, a late swim, or a solid night’s sleep before tomorrow’s headliner.

The heated outdoor pool stays open late. The fire pits are already going. The grab-and-go market is right there. This is what it looks like to be in the right place for a long weekend — not commuting through it.

🏔️ Book Your Forum Fest Base Camp

Canyon Haus has room configurations for every group, from a couples getaway to a full family spread. All units include access to the heated pool, hot tubs, fire pits, fitness center, ski valet, and 24/7 front desk. July 2–4 fills fast — check your dates below.
